The idea is simple enough; a politically and racially charged civil war breaking out in the United States. Whether you are an Anti Fascist fighting for the equality of bolshevism or a National Socialist fighting for racial survival, I have some bad news for you: Reality doesn't follow a script.
Antifascists seem to think that cities provide safety in numbers and terrain. My own military background leads me to conclude that cities can often go from being fortresses against an invader to becoming a death trap to the inhabitants. Those "Bigoted, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, islamophobic, anti-Semitic, racist, ablest, white supremacists"? They ARE NOT "toothless rednecks" and they ARE NOT stupid. They'll anticipate a possible ambush in the cities and respond by waiting until the weather is either blazing hot or freezing cold, and then they'll target the tension lines that feed power to the city. No air conditioner, no heater. No lights. No refrigeration for food. Barely any internet. As for the repair crews that you probably considered? After ambushes kill the first one or two guys you'll have a hard time convincing anyone to go fix it, even with a police escort and there is little to stop your opponent, from making a habit of this, since it isn't HIS power he's knocking out and nobody he's trying to win over lives there. A few IEDs on the major highways that feed the city with the food and supplies it needs to survive could knock those out and a train can be derailed with nothing more than a large steel pipe and a welding torch. So much for the safety of the city. As for the superior numbers? That's actually the Achilles' Heel of the place. The large number of people who must be fed and supplied is actually the biggest liability. Especially if those hateful bigots get word out to any homeless White people that food and shelter are waiting for them, if they want to become Nazis.
The Medieval world is loaded with examples of what can go wrong in a city under a protracted siege.
Now onto the National Socialists.
You are a minority. Seventy years of victor's propaganda have done you no favors. There are perhaps 10 to 20 thousand of you guys, tops. This is not an army capable of controlling 327 million people, 120 million of whom have a seriously vested interest in defeating you.
Of course you've got to play to win, and that means leaving the internet, soooo.....
You don't have a standing army up to the task and are therefore mostly out of the fight at the very beginning.
Unless...
"Boogaloo" doesn't mean a conventional or even semi-conventional conflict.
We tend to think of "Civil War" in terms of either the3 first American Civil War or in terms of the collapse of Yugoslavia. I think that "The Troubles" are a better example. From 1968 until 1998 an irregular war was waged across Northern Ireland, occasionally spilling over into the Republic of Ireland, England or even continental Europe. At no point during this 30 year period did the IRA ever have more than perhaps 400 core members. This is smaller than a basic Infantry battalion. It's about the size of an Infantry Company and half of another. Yet, for three decades they terrorized three countries and soaked the resources of a major military power. No they didn't "win" but they didn't precisely "lose" either.
Imagine if you will an IRA 20,000 strong across 3.8 million square miles in a country with very loose laws pertaining to firearms.
Boogaloo is not a war. It is either a tragic parody of war, or worse, a leaderless revolt consisting entirely of bombings, shootings, assassinations and revenge killings, aimed at goals too nebulous to be achieved.
I don't think "peace walls" or "Loyalist paramilitaries" will be effective in a place like America.
Once the Boogaloo comes the stalemate is permanent and instant; the body count, however, is not so easily determined.
This leads to another issue.
When someone is killed or arrested, family members and friends may become radicalized, themselves. Irregular warfare breaks math. 10-1=19; because with every loss, 10 more are radicalized. SO the real question is the Human Terrain.
How much bloodshed will Americans tolerate? How many attacks (which may have wildly disproportionate bystander casualty rates) will it take?
For a country so seldom at peace with the world, America is seldom at war with itself.
Americans will BEG for a crackdown, the government will do so; alarmed and angered, the warring factions will escalate their violence. Americans will demand further action, the government will oblige; enraged, the factions will escalate their violence. This is the sort of cycle that characterizes guerilla wars.
No amount of gun control (whatever that means) or censorship can halt this. Those who make targets of themselves will discover that a ball-peen hammer or a pocket knife, or a Molotov cocktail will leave them just as dead or maimed as an AR15 would have.
Since a variety of activists, judges, lawyers (both litigators and prosecutors) Politicians, and bureaucrats have made it their business to create this mess, it stands to reason that they shouldn't be too surprised when they receive a car bomb, or a belly full of buckshot for their troubles. They did ask for it, after all.
They wanted the other side to feel upset. They picked their issues, froze them, personalized them and polarized them, just as Alinsky told them to. They got what they wanted: A nation divided; and if God is just, they'll also get what they deserve.
This is what I imagine a "Boogaloo" looks like: An activist with influence demands policy that would be harmful to the opposing faction. He gets hacked to death in a home invasion; it seems gun control didn't affect machetes or hatchets.
A building's owner has agreed to host an event considered by the other side to be odious. It gets burned.
A lawyer pushes a lawsuit against members of a faction. His wife is raped.
A judge gives a draconian sentence to a man deemed a "terrorist" by the popular media and Establishment. Aman on a motorcycle shoots him in the face at a traffic light and then speeds away.
A journalist writes an expose'. He is beaten to death with baseball bats.
A mayor decides to weaponize his office. His son is kidnapped and castrated.
A civil servant tries his hand at "counter-terrorism". A urea-nitrate bomb goes off under the dashboard of his car, killing him.
A "hacktivist" doxxes faction members. Some of them show up, chop her hands off and cut out her tongue.
Boogaloo is the philosophy of Stalin or Hitler and the mentality of The Joker, married to the tactics of Narco-Terrorists.
It's not the kind of country Americans want to live in., or the kind that they SHOULD want to live in.
It's the sort of country that many residents immigrated to America to escape.
It's exactly the kind of country created when politicians are focused on achieving a permanent majority instead of serving the interests of the original stock which built the country, and it is exactly the scenario made inevitable by "Cancel Culture" and "Deplatforming" among other forms of tyrannical censorship.
All it takes is for one side or the other to realize that mass shootings don't work and to try his hands at someone who seemed invincible, but was not. Once the cracks in the Establishment's armor become apparent, the hellstorm will burst into life.
It seems we've sown the wind.
It remains to be seen if we shall reap the whirlwind.
